Internships are valuable to students because they allow them to gain relevant knowledge, skills, and experiences before graduating and entering the workforce. For summer of 2021, XJG Architecture offered internships for architecture students.
Students gain from internships in a variety of ways. One of the advantages for students is the chance to meet with seasoned industry professionals. Internships can help students build problem-solving abilities and improve communication, which is why several curriculums encourage students to apply for an internship during their summer term.
Internships also provide information and exposure to real-world work practices to undergraduates. Thus, these activities provided during an internship can improve the student’s resume as well as earning skills and experience. One of the most crucial skills learned during an internship is problem solving. Students can also use the internship to better define their professional interests. The internship has the potential to help students mature, better understand themselves, and determine whether or not their chosen career is right for them.
